Door two · Your own software

Run your own software.

Start from KBF Atlas AI, the system we run our own design-build firm on. You get a licensed copy in a private repository you administer, on your accounts, with the instructions and prompts to make it yours. Everything you build on it stays yours.

The baseline

KBF Atlas AI.

Built for our firm. Run there every day.

Atlas is the system KBF Design Gallery prices, sells, and runs its projects in. We built it ourselves when no product fit how a design-build firm actually works. Our team uses it every day. It is the software behind the number on this site: scope writing from 7 hours to about 30 minutes.

Why license instead of buy a product.

A product makes you fit its workflow. Source you run yourself fits you. You change what you need, keep your data on your accounts, and never wait on a vendor's roadmap. We keep improving the baseline from what we learn running it, and licensees get the update path.

What you get

A working system, and the direction to run it.

The license is the head start. The consulting is what turns it into your company's software.

The license

A versioned copy of Atlas, yours to run.

  • A sanitized, versioned baseline of the source.
  • Delivered to a private repository your company owns and administers.
  • Setup and maintenance instructions for your technical or data owner.
  • Prompts that help you customize it, clean your source records, and preview imports before they land.
  • A defined update path as the baseline improves.
Ongoing direction

Recurring review and coaching, month to month.

  • An agreed objective for each month.
  • Live working sessions with Adam, normally once or twice a week.
  • Review of what your people built, and what to build next.
  • Help between sessions as available.
  • Either side can end it before the next month begins. A paid license stays yours.

The license is one fixed price with the named baseline written into the proposal. Ongoing direction is one fixed monthly amount. Both are quoted after we talk, and both include the AI compute and tools we use for your work.

In plain terms

What "your own software" means.

Most remodelers have never read a license agreement. Here is what this one means, in the words we use on the call. The signed agreement is the one that governs.

Licensed, not sold

You get the right to run and change the baseline inside your company for as long as the license stands. The baseline itself stays ours, which is what lets us keep improving it for everyone who runs it.

Your accounts, your instance

Atlas runs on accounts you own. Your data lives with you. You maintain your instance, with our instructions and direction.

Your additions are yours

Everything you build on top of the baseline belongs to you. We ask for the right to learn from what licensees build so the shared baseline gets better; you never lose your own work.

Not a redistribution right

You can run it and extend it. You cannot resell it or hand the baseline to another company.

Fit and questions

Who this is for.

A license is for a firm that can name a technical or data owner and wants software that fits how it works. If nobody inside can own it, start with training.

Do we own the software?

You license the baseline and run it on your own accounts in a private repository you administer. Everything you build on top is yours. The baseline stays ours so we can keep improving it for everyone who runs it.

What do we need to have?

A named technical or data owner inside your company, your own accounts, and your source records. We supply the baseline, instructions, prompts, and direction. Accounts and agreed records are due one business day before the first session.

Will you set it up and import our records for us?

The license includes the instructions and prompts to do it. If you want us to do some of it live with you, that is scoped and priced separately. Either way, your people decide what an ambiguous record means. We do not guess for you.

What does it cost?

One fixed price for the license, quoted after a conversation, with the named baseline written into the proposal. Ongoing direction is one fixed monthly amount, month to month.

When can we start?

After a conversation, a proposal both sides sign, and the first month funded before it begins. We do not promise a release date on this page. We agree one in the proposal.
